Important Information Regarding COVID-19

Health officials are currently taking steps to prevent the introduction and spread of COVID-19 (“Coronavirus”) into communities across the United States. Coronavirus.gov offers the most up to date information about this rapidly evolving situation.

Following the advice of the CDC and the State of Texas, the WRC is doing its part to reduce the exposure and spread of COVID-19 (“Coronavirus”) to our clients, our employees and the broader communities we serve. During this time, our services are still available. All staff are working remotely. For assistance, you may contact us at (713) 521-7040 or info@wrc-houston.com.

Please know that the isolation and stress resulting from the pandemic may increase the risk and severity of abuse. The WRC remains a safe haven for support, assistance, shelter, and counseling services. We encourage all to stay alert and share our resources to neighbors in need.

Through collaboration and coordination with State and local health departments, State and local educational agencies, and elected officials, centers can disseminate critical information about the disease and its potential transmission to clients, families, staff, and the greater community.

The City of Houston and Harris County Public Health Department has provided a “self-assessment” tool to help determine whether there is a need for further assessment or to be tested for COVID-19.
