Program designed to provide nutrition facts and review the impact of food, body chemistry, culture and eating on specific nutrition status. These programs review topics that impact level of disease, energy, and wellness. Topics include: calculation of nutrients, digestion, absorption, and metabolism; body composition and weight management; vegetarianism; activity and nutrition; chronic disease; and environmental issues. Students will maintain personal charts of wellness, create analyses of personal health level, grocery shopping exercises analyses of personal pantry, and prescribe and complete a wellness cooking class.

Through collaboration and coordination with State and local health departments, State and local educational agencies, and elected officials, centers can disseminate critical information about the disease and its potential transmission to clients, families, staff, and the greater community.
