Description
The purpose of this course is to further the students’ conversational skills and basic writing in Spanish. In addition to new vocabulary, the past tense and other useful grammatical points will be covered. As in the first course, there will be great emphasis on developing the students’ speaking ability and basic writing/correspondence. The students will create their own dialogues on specified topics, and will be responsible for several readings and several short compositions. It also examines the culture of Spanish- speaking people throughout the world. Classroom instruction is supplemented with activities in the language lab. The course requires the completion of five documented hours of lab work outside of class.
